"You
could have put a shack on this piece of land and I would have
still flown from Cape Cod to stay in it. The house is really lovely--the
setting is something out of Conde Nast Traveler. Clean,
spacious, cozy, everything worked very well--good hot water, stong
pressure, cold fridge--all the worries you get from rentals are
not a factor here. Most of all the real treat was the bed we slept
in was more comfortable then our bed at home (and we have a killer
bed!)--What a bonus that was! The girls loved their nightly hot
tub soak in front of the burning yellow, reds & purples of
the sunsets. The proximity to town is perfection."

property provided a wonderful environment for a family vacation
which included parents, two grown children and their spouses.
We felt safe and left the windows open all night to enjoy the
cool air. We loved waking up to the early morning fog along the
river. We took morning walks and found all the neighbors we met
to be friendly as well as all the people we met in town. The house
design provided privacy to all of us, comfortable beds, was newly
furnished and clean. We particularly enjoyed having the gas grill,
new hot tub, the hammock, and the two kayaks to use on the river.
We combined eating out with cooking some meals at home and found
the kitchen to be will equipped. Staying here gave us the proximity
to the vineyards plus options to do a variety of other things.
Our entire family would highly recommend this property.”

"Firefly
Lodge was absolutely spectacular! There were 9 adults who traveled
to wine country for a wedding and I don't think we could've found
better accomodations for the price in such a great location. The
two tiered porch overlooking the Russian River was where we spent
the vast majority of our time and there was plenty of seating
for all of us. The huge table in the kitchen comfortably sat all
9 of us for several meals while the bedrooms provided total privacy
for each couple. Firefly Lodge was nicely updated with comfortable
furniture and all the extras anyone would want on vacation. I
strongly recommend checking it out for your next stay in Healdsburg!"

There
are always concerns when you book accommodations online, that
the place won't live up to what it claims to be on the computer
screen. Not the case with the Firefly Lodge. Cozy, warm, serene
Northwoods cabin, with a very well-equipped kitchen, thermostat
controlled fireplace, twinkling fireflies in the pine tree (inside,
not out!), an incredible deck to watch nature and a fisherman
or 2 pass by....it didn't hurt that the weather was PERFECT for
our weekend stay, but I can easily imagine a different, but equally
fabulous experience on a rainy weekend, curled up on those comfy
leather sofas in front of the river rock fireplace. we wine'd,
dine'd, hot tub'd and ping-pong'd to our hearts content.... thank
you! we'll be back!

The beds were wonderful! We all loved eating breakfast around
the big dining room table and enjoying wine on the awesome deck!
The men really enjoyed having a ping pong table. Everything

by a friend who had stayed at a sister lodge. Everyone in our
group, as well as friends who stayed elsewhere, was very impressed

in, the positive comments started to flow. It is clean, well-maintained,
spacious, and very comfortable. We cooked for 10 every night
with ease. Many of us look forward to returning during warm
season to enjoy the deck, hot tub, and river access (it truly

"Riverwood
Lodge was the perfect location for our long-awaited weekend
with our 3 sons and their families. The house is perfect for
8 adults and the 4 children loved relaxing and sleeping in the
Rec room/bedroom. They loved their private TV and ping-pong
table. The house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated.
It's also well-stocked with lovely dishes, glasses and serving
pieces. The weather was perfect, so we thoroughly enjoyed the
large deck. We also enjoyed the easy access to the River, which
was shallow enough for both adults and kids to cool off in.
Another plus is the large parking area in front of the house.
All in all, a great spot!"

“My
husband and I had a wonderful time at Northwoods Lodge and in
Sonoma in general! The house is darling and had everything we
could possilbly need for our four night stay. The Jacuzzi provided
a relaxing end to our full days of wine tasting and the grill
allowed us the flexibility to stay in, cook dinner, and enjoy
the good wine we had purchased. We enjoyed a fire every evening
– it made everything smell so good! The river was so peaceful
and we even ventured out in the kayaks one evening. But we made
a mistake and forgot our shoes – never forget your shoes!
The little rapids meant we had to walk the kayaks back and the
rocky shoreline is painful on the feet! We will definitely return,
bring more friends and family, and try each of the other houses
as well. We loved it – thank you!”
